ROCKIN' DOWN THE HOUSE

On Friday, April 18, Korah's very own characters of distinction in Character Education, took to the stage to perform for elementary students from William Merrifield, H.M. Robbins, Greenwood, R.M. Moore,Isabelle Fletcher and Bay View, along with clients and the carestaff from Community Living Algoma. Mustang Sally sang songs related to a number of character attributes, some of which were: respect for self and others, teamwork, cooperation, courage and compassion. As well, musicians pulled out symbolic objects from a "Character Education"grab bag and explained the meaning of each object drawn as it related to Mustang Sally. The musical performance, along with the complementary power-point presentation, inspired the audience to participate by singing along. Following the musical performance,Mustang Sally musicians sat onstage to answer many questions from the audience. Questions from the audience had to do with character attributes as well. Mustang Sally musicians stressed the importance of specific character attributes that made them successful in MustangSally. They spoke with the audience about the importance of diligence and never giving up, and the importance of confronting one's own fearsand not their fears stop them from achieving. They also shared their experiences that required courage and explained why teamwork and cooperation were important attributes to possess in order to contribute to the success of Mustang Sally.

Showdown in Motown

For the second time in three years, players from Korah and Sir James Dunn found out what it's like to play on an NBA floor and got to see the Detroit Pistons play.
For one and a half hours the Colts played two twenty minute halves against the Dunn team. They had access to the Palace sound system, public address system and score clock.

The Midget and Junior Division players had a chance to hit the floor for a shoot around. Sault players along with family and local fans attended the Pistons game against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
